Les-Gets Summer walking plan In summer Les Gets is renowned for its wide range of activities in breathtaking scenery including Hiking, Mountain biking/VTT, Parascending, Horse riding and Canyoning. Les Gets hosted the 2004 World Mountain Bike World Championships and is a regular venue on the professional circuit. Les Gets is only a short drive from Morzine, Avoriaz and the Grand Massif resorts. It is also only one hour’s drive from Geneva, Annecy, Chamonix and Mont Blanc and about two hours from Lyons.


sixt in summer In summer a car is recommended if you wish to access other areas e.g. Annecy and Chamonix but the local mountains and area can be accessed easily on foot and by lifts from village which open in summer. We can assist in recommending airport transfers. Geneva 1 hour away. Cluses for rail 22km away. To get into the village and lifts – which open for pedestrians and mountain bikes – from around June to early September – is a flat 10 minute walk.

The lounge opens out onto a panoramic and large south facing balcony ideal for sitting out and dining especially in summer. Underfloor heating in lounge, kitchen and dining area on ground floor. summer-in-les-gets In summer the village and area the activities available include golf, hiking, sight-seeing, cycling, horse riding, mountain biking, mountaineering, paragliding, canyoning, extreme sports, swimming in lakes and pools, tennis and wildlife. In the area you can see eagles, marmots, ibis and many mountain species plus lush flora. A trip to the valley at Sixt Fer et Cheval is recommended. Also visit the Fantasticable at Chattel which can be reached by using a day lift pass to travel from Les Gets through Morzine to Chattel and return albeit with some hiking as well.
The village also has an adventure park, mechanical instrument museum and a range of activities in the pedestrianised village centre. There are also many excellent local restaurants.
Trips out to the Chamonix valley can also include cable car rides up into the high mountains at Argentiere and Chamonix. Visit Mont Blanc and the Aiguilles du Midi!
